VC5-T (Mini-Tank) System

LEAKING:

1. Drawing on the unit too hard.  This is by far the most common issue new users have with converting from tobacco to e-Cigs.  It is important to take long, slow drags, about half the speed you would draw on a cigarette.  You should hear it crackle (boiling) as you draw, not just a rush of air through the unit.

Here is why:  It is a simple matter of supply and demand.  When you are smoking a burning cigarette, the harder you draw the faster it will burn to produce the smoke.  Easy, right?  Well, with e-Cigarettes there is a bit more of a process.  As you take a drag from an e-Cig it creates a suction that pulls the e-Juice into the atomizer from the cartridge, boils it into a vapor with a tiny coil (much like a light bulb coil or element) and then sends it back up through vents on the sides of the cartridge to your mouth.

So,

  • if the draw is too hard, there is too much suction.
  • Too much suction sends too much e-Juice to the atomizer
  • Too much e-Juice in the atomizer floods the coil and it can not boil it all off
  • Unboiled e-Juice continues to build up until it overflows the cup and mesh around the coil and flows out past the threads

******* Assorted Tips *******

  • Replace the empty display cartridge on your atomizer with a sealed one from the bottom of your kit before first use
  • Press and hold the button for 1 second before taking a drag, continue to hold down during the drag, then release.
  • Take a long slow drag into the mouth and inhale
  • New atomizers have to break in. The initial taste will improve and the atomizer will produce large plumes of vapor after an hour of use.
  • When the LED at the end of the battery flashes, or doesn’t light up, it’s ready to be recharged. Screw onto charger until lightly snug. Sometimes the battery light will flash before it is completely screwed in all the way and if you stop at this point it will not fully charge.
  • Keep out of reach of children and animals. Avoid contact with eyes. If you get e-Juice on your skin, wash with soap and water.
Battery, Atomizer, Charger:  The connection points of the e-cig get dirty over time and will not allow it to charge completely or burn at full capacity. For best results clean the screw threads of the battery and atomizer with a paper towel dipped in purified, un-perfumed alcohol at least once a week. Unplug the charging unit from the wall outlet and squeeze excess alcohol from towel before cleaning the receptacle’s threads. Allow to dry thoroughly before use. Once all these are clean you should get a full charge on your batteries and the atomizers will burn at full heat/duration.

e-Juice Bottles:
Do not over tighten!  The inner top portion of the childproof cap can crack and leak. Always tighten caps to where they are just snug.  If your cap has cracked, replace from an empty bottle of juice or keep upright.  Wash hands with soap and water.

Sounds:
Your e-Cig emulates a real cigarette in more ways than one.  The sound it produces can give you hints on your juice level.
  • No Sound - Low on juice, time for a refill, dead battery, dead atomizer.
  • Crackle - If it sounds like a real cigarette crackle as you take a drag, you're just right!

Battery: The battery’s LED indicator will flash repeatedly when drained. Remove the atomizer and screw the battery into the charging receptacle until snug, then plug the charging unit into a wall outlet. The charger’s red indicator light will change from red to green when charging is complete. The battery lifespan is approximately 200 charges and is good for 200-250 puffs per charge. Batteries are Lithium Ion 3.7V supply. Wall charger input voltage is AC 100V-240V 50/60Hz.

Storage/Maintenance: Keep all e-cig materials and e-juices out of reach of children and animals. This device is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. Store in a dry area. For best results clean the screw threads of the battery and atomizer with a paper towel dipped in purified, un-perfumed alcohol once weekly. Unplug the charging unit from the wall outlet and squeeze excess alcohol from towel before cleaning the receptacle’s threads. Allow to dry thoroughly before use.

Caution: Do not carry assembled e-Cigs in a pocket or purse without a proper carrying case. Confined areas or other objects can press the button on your manual e-Cig and automatics are sensitive to sound and vibration. Remove the battery when carrying your e-Cig to avoid accidental ignition and burns.
